Slabs of extruded polystyrene “Izocam”

Extruded polystyrene is produced from polystyrene by extrusion. It can be produced in the form of a board of different size, edge and surface shape and compressive strength according to the intended use and location. Used for thermal insulation.

Foamboard 1500:These are slabs of extruded polystyrene with a smooth surface. They are used for thermal insulation of pitched roofs with attic rooms.
Foamboard 2000D – 2500D – 3000D – 3500D:These are extruded polystyrene boards with a smooth surface. Used on waterproofing membranes for thermal insulation of flat roofs.
Foamboard 1500P:Thermal insulation board made of extruded polystyrene with rough surface. It is used for internal insulation of external walls due to its high insulation properties and resistance to vapour diffusion.

Foamboard 2000D – 2500D – 3000D – 3500D:It is a slab of extruded polystyrene used for thermal insulation of external walls of basements, floors of buildings.
Foamboard Under Flooring:This is a flat surface extruded polystyrene board that is used under flooring to level the surface.
Foamboard Frigo:This is a special extruded polystyrene board manufactured for thermal insulation of refrigerated or dry freight vehicle bodies.

Foamboard 1500:Insulation boards are laid on beams. Any type of roof lining can be used for this application, which is done without the use of a roof board. The end strip and the insulation board must have the same thickness. The end strip is fastened to the edges of the rafters with nails along the eaves. The boards are laid on the rafters at right angles starting from the end strip to the ridge of the roof. Care must be taken to adjust the edges properly. The roof strips are then nailed to the boards that sit on the rafters. The vapor permeable waterproofing membrane shall be laid from eave to ridge with overlaps. Tile attachment tape that is placed vertically to the roof strips is nailed onto the roof strips. The application ends with fixing the roof tiles.
Foamboard 2000D – 2500D – 3000D – 3500D:The membrane (bituminous, pvc, tpo, etc.) forming the waterproofing and vapour barrier is rolled onto the existing levelling concrete. Foamboard 2000 D – 2500 D – 3000 D – 3500 D boards are put together without applying glue so that the joints can be adjusted. A filter element and a cover, which serves as a separating felt, are laid on the boards. For inaccessible flat roofs, a layer of washed round light gravel is placed over the separator cover to load and reflect the sun’s rays. For accessible flat roofs, prefabricated tiles (concrete, wood, etc.) supported on plastic wedges are installed. If desired, floor coverings applied with sand or joint compound can also be used. For garden flat roofs, the gravel layers are laid as the inaccessible flat roof. The filter element and plant soil are placed on the gravel to complete the process.
Foamboard 1500P:There are two different methods used for interior insulation of exterior walls: the plaster method and the drywall method. In the plaster method, the boards are glued with a cement-based fixing solution to the inner surface of the wall in a way that the joints are aligned. Laying is done by gluing waste tape to the joint. For the dry plaster method, the tiles, lined with 1.25 cm of plasterboard on one side, are glued to the wall with a cement base. Prior to adhesive application, wall surface roughness should be minimized. Once the plates are glued, the application is carried out using standard joining and finishing techniques. For the internal insulation of external walls, it is important to take precautions to avoid thermal bridging where the slabs, columns, beams and curtains join the external wall.

Foamboard 2000D – 2500D – 3000D – 3500D:Foamboard products with waterproofing membranes are used for thermal insulation of underground perimeter walls. First, putty is applied to the wall to smooth the surface and then a waterproofing membrane is applied. İzocam Foamboard is applied loosely over a waterproofing membrane. It is not necessary to glue the boards if the installation is carried out together with the erection of a protective wall and earth embankment. There is another method where İzocam Foambard is bonded to the bitumen waterproofing membrane at intervals with cold bitumen. Anchoring shall not be used when applying underground perimeter walls to avoid penetrating the waterproof layer.
Foamboard Under Flooring:The boards are properly placed on the floor to be covered. If the surface roughness is significant, two-coat application can be performed around these regions. If the roughness is too great to remove, the surface must be leveled again.
Foamboard Frigo:Used in vehicle bodies that are specifically designed for heat sensitive products such as food, pharmaceutical, chemical etc to provide thermal insulation. It is possible to produce with different technical characteristics according to customer needs.
