Sound insulation under wooden floors “Isolgomma Sylwood 3”
“Sylwood” is an innovative, high-quality product specially designed to increase the sound insulation of existing buildings.
“Sylwood” is a thin, high-density recycled rubber underlay with added cork granules that absorb walking/treading noise in accordance with local codes (building control standards) for design. This product has been specially developed to meet any sound insulation requirements in the restructuring and improvement of existing flooring, including normal or ready-to-use wooden flooring. “Sylwood” can be easily laid directly under wooden floors and details. The “Sylwood” series is part of our family of rubber products, created using eco-friendly technology and production processes that allow the use of more than 92% recycled and/or recycled materials.
This series contributes to achieving a point of standard in the LEED® system in the MR 1.1-1.2-2-3-4-5 code area.
Products from the “Basewood”, “Sylwood” and “Sylcer” lines integrate perfectly into the floor system. These products are particularly recommended for renovation. The pads reduce impact noise, contribute to walking comfort, and improve the thermal properties of the floor.
The products are ideal for sound insulation in the following cases:

•Certified acoustic improvement: The “Sylwood” underlay provides an improvement in the acoustic insulation of existing floors during all repair operations.
• Adaptability: The special porosity of the surface increases the adhesion of the adhesives. The product acts as a barrier layer where there are uneven surfaces.
•Reduce laying costs: The size of the roll allows for fast and accurate laying. The surface coating allows excellent adhesion without loss of adhesive.

Made from SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) regenerated rubber fibers and granules and added cork, sealed using a latex binder in a hot process.
